Twenty-One Students Inducted into Cum Laude Society

Worcester Academy proudly celebrated the academic excellence of 21 students during its 2025 Cum Laude Society Induction Ceremony. This annual tradition honors members of the senior class who have achieved exceptional academic standing and demonstrated exemplary character throughout their time at the Academy.

Established in 1906, the Cum Laude Society recognizes scholastic achievement in secondary schools across the country. Inductees must rank in the top 20% of their class and embody the values of excellence, honor, and justice in all aspects of school life.

The ceremony was made especially meaningful as each inductee was introduced by a faculty advisor or mentor who spoke personally about the student’s journey, growth, and contributions to the Worcester Academy community. These heartfelt tributes reflected not only the scholars’ academic achievements but also their integrity, leadership, and resilience.

Head of School Kevin Breen presented each student with a certificate to mark their induction, commending them for their dedication and impact both inside and outside the classroom.
